Ross Raihala of the Pioneer Press said that his vocals were “shockingly poor.”
Other reviews have also mentioned Bon Jovi’s voice being off. The Charlotte Observer and Omaha World-Herald both wrote that the singer was struggling. But Bon Jovi did manage to pull it together for a few acoustic songs in the middle of the show.
The show was a good one overall, and the new members of the band are really stepping up their game. Drummer Tico Torres, bassist Hugh McDonald and guitarist Phil X are all proving that they can stand their ground with the original members of the band.
