Bon Jovi has always aimed to please their fans with epic live shows packed full of hits and nostalgia. Their evocative rock music has earned them the highest acclaim and numerous awards over the years, including a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band remains in demand across the world with a strong touring schedule and a loyal following.

Bon Jovi is an American hard rock band that has released thirteen studio albums to date, the first being their self-titled debut in 1984 followed by their 1986 hit album ‘Slippery When Wet’. Since then, the group have sold hundreds of millions of albums worldwide and are best known for hit singles such as ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’, ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’. The band has also amassed a huge number of tour dates and have performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world.

The band’s current lineup consists of Jon Bon Jovi as lead vocalist and guitarist, Richie Sambora’s replacement Phil X on guitar, bassist Hugh McDonald and drummer Tico Torres. Sambora was a member of the band for over two decades and his absence is noticeable, but the remaining members were still in fine form as they brought their new ‘This House Is Not For Sale’ tour to St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center.

Throughout the show, the crowd was in awe of what they were experiencing. The show was a great mix of old and new with songs off 2020 being mixed in with the band’s iconic hits such as ‘Livin’ on A Prayer’, ‘Runaway’ and ‘Wanted Dead or Live’. During the latter, Bon Jovi’s high notes were a little difficult to hear due to the size of the arena, but he still managed to impress.

Despite being an older man, Jon Bon Jovi is still an expert showman and a talented musician, with a young soul that shines through. He’s a charismatic entertainer and knows how to control the crowd, with a sense of urgency and intensity that is reminiscent of Mick Jagger. He is a powerful singer, even if his voice is a little off at times and the lower sections of his range could be improved. However, he is one of the few veteran performers who have maintained their vocal prowess over time.
